探索欲求を満たすことで、多頭飼育下の猫の問題行動は低減する。そのためには、猫が歩む道に行き止まりがあってはならない。
家の中に、猫だけの道が張り巡らせてある。設計者はそれを「血管のよう」と書いた。1本の輪ではない。道は幾度も交差しながら家を巡り、交わるところに猫が立ち止まる場所が生まれる。
1階のキューブベッドを出て、らせん階段で2階へ。書斎の壁沿いをガラスのトンネルで1周し、猫穴を抜けてPlayRoomへ下り、キャットウォークを渡って猫ロフトまで。これは数ある道のうちの一本にすぎない。
そして、やがて猫は老いる。若い頃に行けた場所へ行けなくなるのは、猫の心を傷つける。猫の尊厳を守るために、高い場所に登る楽な道をあらかじめ別に用意しておく。
上りと下りは、別の道として用意してある。この家は、あらゆる場所から一番高いところへ登れるようになっている。
壁一面の棚には、猫の寝床が積み上げてある。猫に立体的に寝てもらうという考えそのものが、ここから始まっている。
PlayRoom — この家の中心部
2階にある猫の運動場。廊下も兼ねている。キャットウォークも、キャットツリーも、猫ステップも、猫穴も、すべてこの部屋に集まっている。
■２階にある猫の運動場(PlayRoom)です。キャットツリーはキャットウォークに登るための猫専用らせん階段。廊下も兼ねたこの場所は、この家の中心部です。
■This is the cats' exercise space (PlayRoom) on the second floor. The cat tree is a spiral staircase exclusively for cats to climb up to the catwalk. Doubling as a hallway, this space is the heart of the house.
出発は、1階のキューブベッドから
■家の中に縦横無尽に張り巡らされた猫用通路を巡るThe Cats’ Houseツアー（前半）の始まりです！出発地は１Ｆにある「猫とくつろぐ部屋」に置かれた、キューブベッドの中から。
■Welcome to the first half of The Cats’ House Tour — a journey through the cat passages that run throughout the house! We begin inside the cube bed in the "relaxing room with cats" on the first floor.
■キューブベッド用多段棚は、それ自体が階段状になっていて、１階から２階へ上がるキャットツリーにつながっています。ここからたくさんの猫達が、家の中での散歩に出かけていきます。
■The multi-tier shelf for the cube bed is itself staircase-shaped, connecting to the cat tree that leads from the first to the second floor. From here, many cats set off on their indoor strolls.
■PlayRoomに到着しましたので「The Cats’ Houseツアー」の前半は終了です。

後半は、玄関ホールから
■ここからは様々な猫用インテリアを御紹介しながら「キャットウォーク」や「猫ロフト」などを巡るThe Cats’ Houseツアー(後半)が始まります。出発地は１階玄関ホール。[れん君]に２階へ案内してもらいましょう。
■The second half of The Cats’ House Tour begins here, showcasing various cat-oriented interiors as we visit the catwalk, cat loft, and more. We depart from the first-floor entrance hall. Let Ren lead us up to the second floor.
■PlayRoomに一歩足を踏み入れると、いろんなところから猫達が挨拶をしに来てくれます。[こはるちゃん]がこっちに来ようとしている時に、[ちなつちゃん]が強引に猫穴をくぐってGreenRoomからわざわざ会いに来てくれました。
■The moment you step into the PlayRoom, cats come to greet you from every direction. Just as Koharu was making her way toward us, Chinatsu boldly squeezed through the cat hole and came all the way from the GreenRoom to say hello.
■PlayRoomの上空に張り巡らされているキャットウォークに行くには、猫用らせん階段「キャットツリー」を使います。段差が33cm～43cmのものまで４本用意されています。[ちなつちゃん]は段差43cmのものがお気に入り。
■To reach the catwalk running through the upper space of the PlayRoom, cats use the spiral cat staircase — the cat tree. Four trees are provided, with step heights ranging from 33 to 43 cm. Chinatsu's favorite is the one with 43 cm steps.
回遊に入っていない、ただ一つの場所
■回遊性を持つ猫専用動線に、唯一含まれていない猫スポットが１階にはあります。通称「ある君の部屋」。しかし居心地が良いせいか、結局、[ある君]専用スペースにはなりませんでした。
■There is one cat spot on the first floor that is not included in the circulating cat circulation route. Known as "Aru's Room." But perhaps because it's so comfortable, it never became an exclusively Aru space in the end.
離れているが、キャットウォークにつながる部屋
■２階の洋室には、あまり犬や猫を入れないことになっているのですが、ドアが空いているとやはり入ってきて、猫たちはいろいろと探検していきます。[かい君]が頭上高く飛んでいます。
■Dogs and cats are generally not allowed into the second-floor Western-style room, but if the door is open, they come in anyway and explore every corner. Kai is leaping high overhead.
